Cosplay weapons refer to specifically designed weapons used by cosplayers. There are a few popular weapons used in cosplay. I am exploring those popular weapons today. Cosplayers tend to use several weapons.
These weapons serve as a part of their costumes. They need to fulfill their costume needs in order to play their roles on stage. Though they use many weapons, but there are certain weapons that have gained popularity.
Also, these popular weapons are used frequently in cosplay. I am here to discuss all those weapons and why they are preferred during cosplay by the cosplayers:
1. Anime Swords
Anime swords are the swords of the anime characters. The anime characters are very popular nowaday and have a huge fan base. They belong to an imaginary world known as the anime world.
There are some anime movies and video games. To replicate those video games and movies, cosplayers use these swords that make them look like those anime characters to whom these swords belong.
2. Fantasy Key Sword
A fantasy key sword is perhaps the most popular cosplay weapon. It is a sword often used by cosplayers on stage because it belongs to a popular anime series. This is a beautiful and stylish cosplay sword, very unique as well.
3. Wooden Katana Sword
Steel swords are banned in cosplay. The cosplayers are not permitted to use real swords. However, they can use replica swords made of wood or foam.
When playing the role of the great samurai warriors, cosplayers use a katana sword. However, this katana sword is made of wood and is safe to use.
4. Foam Shuriken
Shuriken is a ninja weapon and also used in cosplay. When cosplayers need to play the role of the ninja, they use shuriken.
Also, they preferably use foam shuriken so that they stay protected from injuries. Real shuriken can be very dangerous for cosplayers.
5. Fantasy Daggers
Fantasy daggers are also used as cosplay weapons in 2020. These are not real world daggers, rather they are imaginary daggers used in cosplay.
They belong to fantasy characters who are very popular among their fans and among the roleplayers who play the roles of these characters!
